A new count for October has been added to SHOW page, please review and if you have questions or changes please contact me before Oct. 30, 2021. No changes will be made after this date unless approved by UCWHA Board.

2021 Banquet:

Please make plans to attend banquet scheduled for Nov 20, 2021 starting at 6:00pm. Location is same as 2019 banquet at Bilbrey Farms in Sparta, TN. Pat Stout will be sending more information next month so please mark your calendar and join us for fellowship and good food.

UCWHA By- Law amendment:

An Upper Cumberland Walking Horse Association committee meeting was held last week, a motion was made and approved by board to amend the UCWHA By-Laws to decrease the size of the Board of Directors from 13 to 9, and to decrease the number of Board members to constitute a quorum from 8 to 5.  The Board of Directors would then be made up of 4 Officers of the Association, the immediate Past President, and 4 Directors.  Due to the decrease in Club membership over the years, this seems to be a more appropriate number representing our club.

This amendment will be voted on by memebership during the annual meeting. To review by-laws, go to HOME page and click on link.

Members and visitors our 2021 Show page has been updated with this years High Point Shows that we have at this time. More shows may be added later if we can find some in our area and with board approval. Everyone that paid for memberships last year will be extended to include this year, anyone wanting to be included in our High Point Awards can join anytime but points count after receiving membership applications.

Upper Cumberland Show is in need of sponsors and any amount will help so please let us know if you can help. Please get out and help support all the shows this year and hope we can continue to have our program to support the Tennessee Walking Horse in our area.

Election of officers & board for 2020 will be held during meeting. Nomination committee made the following nominations;

Officers: President- Jimmy Sherrell, Vice President- Jerry Swallows, Secretary- Lesa Davidson, Treasurer- Pat Stout and Past President- Gary Bowman. Directors for three year term: Sandra Robinson, Rod Slagle and Gary Stidham. Floor with be open during meeting for nominations from members.

Please make plans to attend for good food, fellowship and awards.

If you have any questions please contact me by email or text with detail questions and I will reply as quickly as possible. You have until Nov. 1st to make any changes, count will be presented to Board at Nov. meeting and no changes will be made after that.
